The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is the jewel from DJI. In my opinion still the best drone on the market at the moment. It features a professional-grade camera from Hasselblad.

With a camera resolution of 20 megapixels on its 1-inch CMOS sensor the Mavic 2 Pro has a flight time of 31 minutes, omnidirectional obstacle sensing (five directions) and a max speed of 45 mph (72 km/h in sport mode).

This drone is really made for people that need a good camera. The Mavic 2 Pro 1-inch CMOS sensor has been designed and produced in collaboration with Hasselblad, the Swiss leader in medium format cameras and lenses. Like its predecessor, the Mavic 2 is very portable, entirely foldable and very easy to operate.

DJI Mavic 2 Pro Key Specs:

Camera res: 20 megapixels
Video res: 4x 10 bit Dlog-M
Battery: 31 mins flight time intelligent fly battery
Max speed: 45 mph (72km/h) sport mode

DJI Mavic 2 Zoom

The DJI Mavic 2 Zoom as the name suggests presents an amazing zoom lens. The zoom extends its reach by 2x. The sensor is a 1 /2.3-inch 12 megapixel and the lens a 24-48mm. Both wide and mid angle shots are now possible thanks to the two-times optical zoom lens for the more creative options.

With the zoom lens, you are now able to shoot your subject from a greater and safer distance in an efficient way and without losing detail. The focus is very accurate and fast with an excellent autofocus tracking system and an awesome feature called Super Res that allows you to capture a 48-megapixel picture thanks to the camera zoom system being able to capture and stitch images automatically. Very impressive.

DJI Mavic 2 Zoom Key Specs:

Camera res: 12 megapixels (48 in Super Res)
Video res: 4x Ultra HDBattery: 31 mins flight time intelligent fly battery
Max speed: 45 mph (72km/h) sport mode
Memory: SD card support up to 128GB

DJI Mavic Pro

The Mavic Pro was probably the best consumer drone on the market, before the Mavic 2, and it’s made for the truly serious hobbyist, but can be definitely used for professional purposes. This drone became famous since it was and still is used by a lot of popular YouTubers for its power and extreme portability.

After the Mavic Pro 2 line was released, the price for the Mavic Pro dropped dramatically. Buying it now is a real bargain.
Like the Spark and the Air, it’s compact and features the fold-out propellers, which essentially means that the Mavic Pro is small enough to fit into a compact bag for easy release once you’re outdoor.

If you’re looking for a camera to shoot a wedding or to do some professional style photography, you may want to consider one of the other models available today, like the Pro 2 or the Zoom, but again, this drone can really impress you with the quality of its images and videos.

The DJI Mavic Pro offers a 12-megapixel stabilized camera and shoots 4K video at 30 frames per second. The Mavic Pro has an average flight time per battery of 27 minutes, which is about the standard for these types of drones.

DJI Mavic Pro Key Specs

Camera res: 12 megapixels
Video res: 4x 30fps
Battery: 27 mins flight time intelligent fly battery
Max speed: 40 mph (64km/h) sport mode
Memory: SD card support up to 128GB

DJI Mavic Air

One could almost suggest that the Mavic Air is perfect for the consumer who wants to graduate up from the DJI Spark, but isn’t interested in doling out the multiple thousands of dollars for the Mavic Pro 2 or the Phantom lines.

It’s a very small drone, just a bit bigger than the Spark, but it possesses the fold-out propellers and arms, to become even smaller and more portable. It could easily fit into your pocket. It inherits the best of the Mavic series, from portability to flight performance.

It has a 3-axis mechanical gimbal for very stable videos and photos. The Mavic Air is able to stitch 25 photos together to create amazing 32 megapixel Sphere panoramas that can be viewed from the DJI Goggles for an immersive experience.

DJI Mavic Air Key Specs

Camera res: 12 megapixels
Video res: 4x 30fps
Battery: 21 mins flight time intelligent fly battery
Max speed: 40 mph (64km/h) sport mode
Memory: 8GB internal storage, SD card support up to 128GB

DJI Phantom 4 Pro Advanced

With a 1-inch 20 megapixel sensor, 30 minutes flight time and an excellent forward obstacle avoidance system, the DJI Phantom 4 Pro is one of the best drones on the market. The camera sensor is able to capture 4K/60 fps video and burst mode stills at 14fps.

The mechanical shutter of the CMOS sensor eliminates rolling shutter distortion as a proper professional camera should do. Moreover, it’s worth noting the excellent dynamic range of the 1-inch CMOS sensor. The remote controller with a built-in screen is able to receive video transmission up to 4.3 miles (7km).

It also has live streaming capabilities thanks to the DJI GO 4 app with which is possible to edit and share photos and videos instantly.
Other features worth mentioning that make this drone a real professional tool are:
TapFly system, to control the aircraft from the controller’s screen.
Gesture mode, like many other DJI products, with this feature you can control the DJI Phantom 4 with hand movements.

DJI Phantom 4 Pro Advanced Key Specs

Camera res: 40 megapixels
Video res: 4K 60fps
Battery: 30 mins flight time intelligent fly battery
Max speed: 45 mph (72km/h) sport mode
Memory: SD card support up to 128GB

DJI Inspire 2

Released in 2016, the DJI Inspire 2 is made for the professional photographers and cinematographers. Both the price-tag and the complexity of the device are likely enough to push away the average hobbyist or consumer.

The DJI Inspire 2 sports two different cameras. One resting underneath the aircraft, offering full 360° camera rotation, and the other top quality camera in front of the aircraft with an onboard system for image processing that records at up to 5.2K in CinemaDNG RAW, and ProRes recording. It also sports obstacle avoidance on two sides to ensure its safety.

For broadcasters, the video can be broadcast live because of its dedicated 1080i50 and 720p60 transmission signal, accomplished by plugging the remote controller to the satellite truck.

It has a max speed of 50mph (80km/h) with a max descent speed of 9m/s. Really impressive for this size. The CineCore 2.0 image processing system integrated into the Inspire 2 works with any camera connected through the dedicated gimbal port. You can buy the DJI Inspire 2 with the Zenmuse X4S or X5S camera. The X5S is a micro 4/3 sensor that supports up to 10 different lenses.

DJI Inspire 2 Key Specs

Camera res: compatible with 5.2K gimbal cameras
Battery: 27 mins flight time intelligent fly battery
Max speed: 50 mph (80km/h)

DJI Spark

The DJI Spark is the best drone for hobbyists. A real delight for recreational use, and therefore it’s intended towards the consumer who isn’t looking to somehow try and make money or achieve the best possible quality with her aerial photos or videos.

Small and perfect for easy storage. The quality of the camera lags behind the Mavic Air and the Mavic Pro lines, but it’s more than suitable for photography enthusiasts who want to take some keen photographs from unusual positions to show to their friends.

It’s probably the most user-friendly drone on the market with its gesture recognition and obstacle avoidance technology. It features TapFly and ActiveTrack modes like professional drones and with the remote control can fly a distance of 1.2 miles (2km).

DJI Spark Key Specs

Camera res: 12 megapixel
Battery: 16 mins flight time
Max speed: 31 mph (50km/h)
Gimbal: 2 axis
