Aren’t you curious to know what the most expensive cameras are on the market? I am, and for this reason, I did a research and put down a list that I’m sharing with you in this article.

In another blog post, I listed the best cameras under $300 since I think it can be useful for those of you starting photography. While I was writing, I’ve asked myself what are the most expensive cameras out there and started my research.

I have to admit that as a tech nerd, I’m in love with beautifully designed and expensive pieces of technologies, and I like to read their spec (and try to understand why they cost so much). I’d like to know what you think about it, so leave a comment at the and of this article!

Here’s my list of the most expensive cameras on the market.

Most Expensive Cameras Comparison Table

The Most Expensive Camera Ever

Leica 0-series no. 122 Price $2.97M

This camera is not exactly something you can buy. I’m listing it only for the most curious out there since it’s a rare camera for collection and not something that has real commercial use. The Leica 0-series no. 122 was sold in 2018 for a world record $2.97M at a Leica auction in Vienna becoming the most expensive camera ever.
