Many people are staying at home these days due to the COVID-19 virus.
I really hope that you are staying safe and healthy.
As I’ve announced yesterday in this post, I want to make it entertaining for those of you passionate photographers out there looking for something creative to do with your camera during these stressful day.
So here are my 3 photography tasks to do at home for this week’s challenge. (Sorry if I post this on Tuesday, will be on Monday next week)
It’s very easy.
First of all. This challenge is for everyone.
You don’t have to be a professional photographer so there aren’t any strict rules. These challenges are meant to encourage as many people as possible to take their cameras and do something creative during these tough days.
You can use any camera you want, DSLR or Mirrorless, point-and-shoot or even your phone. It doesn’t matter.
What’s important is that you have fun. Finally, you don’t have to necessarily do all the assignments. Do the only the ones you like the most or do all of them.
It’s totally up to you!
How to Take Part
Follow the first 3 assignments for this week and head over to the newly created Pixinfocus Photography Facebook Group and post your photos there. You can otherwise send your photo to team [at] pixinfocus.com and I’ll personally review them.
If you like this challenge there will be another one next week with 3 new assignments. I’ll share all the photos of the previous week and feature your name. If you have a website, include it on the Facebook post as a link or in your email and I’ll put a link to your website together with your name and photo when I share it on my next post.
Finally, I’ll share all the results on my Pinterest board named “Photography challenge” so that you all can get some visibility from the over 800k views that the Pinterest account of Pixinfocus gets each and every month.
Here are some simple tasks you can do from home.
1. Moments of Your Day
You can take a self-portrait at home of yourself while you cook or watch tv or work from home, clean or reorganize your bookshelves. Use a tripod if you have one or just place your camera of phone on a solid surface and use the self-timer.
It can also be a selfie! Here are some best tips on How to Take a Good Selfie those tips are great for self-portraits too.
2. Food Photography Compositions
3. Blurry Background Challenge
Simply try to shoot with your lens wide open and choose a good focal length and distance to get a blurry background. It can be of an object on a table, or a family member, or your pet. Get creative!
